Thursday, April 3, 2025 / 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center

Join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion on the powerful role of circuit music within the LGBTQ+ community. Circuit music, often associated with high-energy dance parties and queer nightlife, has become an integral part of LGBTQ+ culture. In this panel, we’ll explore how circuit music not only shapes the community’s social and cultural landscape but also provides a space for self-expression, resistance, and unity. Our expert panel will dive into the evolution of circuit music, its connection to LGBTQ+ identity, and its influence on the celebration of pride, joy, and freedom. We’ll also discuss how circuit music has become a platform for LGBTQ+ artists, DJs, and producers, and how the genre continues to evolve in response to cultural shifts within the community.

The film offers an intimate look at their experiences raising two hearing children, showcasing the complexities of family, love, and relationships while pushing back against ongoing discrimination. Following the screening, we will host a panel discussion on adoption and surrogacy featuring experts, advocates, and families who have gone through similar journeys.
