CURRENT GRANT ALLOCATIONS
Since our incorporation, The Cherry Fund has consistently strived to support and contribute to the local community. Over the years, our organization has dedicated itself to providing financial assistance and in-kind support to area nonprofits. We are proud to announce that through our efforts, we have successfully awarded grants and in-kind contributions totaling $1.3 Million Dollars to these deserving organizations. By investing in various nonprofits, we aim to bolster their vital work and enhance their capacity to serve the community.
The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center – The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center educates, empowers, uplifts, celebrates, elevates and connects the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. To fulfill our mission, we focus on four core areas: health and wellness, arts & culture, social & peer support, and advocacy and community building. We envision communities where LGBTQIA+ people feel healthy, safe, and affirmed.
ReelAbilities Film Festival of Greater Washington – ReelAbilities Film Festival: Greater Washington is dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with disabilities. Each year, this dynamic festival, powered by the Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, presents both domestic and international award-winning films paired with interactive programming that gives us a new perspective and highlights the vibrant personalities, realities, and extraordinary abilities of people.
